About this Course

Many countries have tracked their response to the HIV epidemic since 2001. Global targets have also been set and updated as the context of the HIV epidemic changed to build on previous successes.

The Seventy-fifth World Health Assembly confirmed WHO's role to assist countries on HIV, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted infections until 2030. TWHO has the duty to report to the World Health Assembly on how countries are applying the global health sector strategies. The health sector response to HIV is tracked by using data that countries submit, based on a framework for collecting and using person-centred data across the HIV cascade.

This course takes the learner through the health sector response to HIV that is consistent with global targets and the Sustainable Development Goals.
