About this course
Effective counselling as part of interpregnancy care maximises the woman’s health in between pregnancies, enhances the chances of positive health outcomes for mother and newborn during subsequent pregnancies, and maximises the woman’s health along her life course.
This is a blended course, combining online modules that you complete at your own pace and live, instructor-led virtual sessions. Through scenario-based activities and games, you will learn to effectively support women and couples to make informed decisions about family planning methods best suited to their lives. You will be able to respect the woman’s sexual and reproductive rights, whilst facilitating her decision making and control.

Assessment and award
